Key Responsibilities for the Payroll Assistant:
- Collect, organize, and review employee timesheets from multiple foremen and project sites.
- Enter and verify timekeeping data from both electronic and paper-based records.
- Assist with union payroll adjustments, including holiday pay and other contract-specific earnings.
- Track employee hours across multiple projects to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Coordinate with field teams and payroll personnel to resolve discrepancies and missing information.
- Prior payroll, timekeeping, or payroll support experience a plus.
- Experience reviewing high volumes of data
- Strong follow up skills
- Comfortable speaking to employees via phone and email
- Knowledge of union payroll or construction payroll processes a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll/timekeeping systems.
