Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Note: Must be admitted to and in good standing with the New York State Bar and have at least 1+ year of directly relevant employment law experience.

Job Description

• Advise and represent employers on a broad range of employment law and labor relations matters.
• Counsel clients regarding applicable employment laws, regulations, policies, and workplace practices.
• Provide practical guidance on compliance, employee relations, and other workplace issues.
• Conduct employment-related investigations and provide strategic recommendations.
• Develop and deliver client training on employment laws, regulations, and workplace best practices.
• Defend clients in administrative proceedings and State and Federal Court when necessary.
• Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and other legal documents.
• Analyze issues involving wage and hour requirements, harassment, discrimination, and other employment matters.
• Assist clients with labor relations matters, including labor contracts and related negotiations.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive, practical, and business-minded legal counsel.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm's employment, labor, litigation, and education practices.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Bar admission and good standing.
• 1+ year of employment law experience required.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to counsel and advocate effectively for clients.
• Experience with employment litigation, administrative proceedings, investigations, compliance, or labor relations is highly valued.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
