Our client's platform streamlines vendor and perk management for Private Equity and Venture Capital firms and used by 60% of the top 10 largest VC firms including Soft Bank, Union Venture Square, and NEA. Their platform provides a curated vendor network for portfolio companies including vetted vendors, discount pricing, and trusted partners across categories such as SaaS tools, recruiting, professional services, and operational infrastructure. Instead of spending time researching vendors or overpaying for services, customers gain instant access to a curated ecosystem of partners who are already trusted and negotiated. Venture capital & private equity firms have ensured that their portfolio companies are spending money wisely, choosing the right vendors, and scaling efficiently while also eliminating the tedious task of VC firms managing their own vendors in an excel spreadsheet. Private Equity and Venture Capital firms using their platform has helped their portfolio companies save on average about $75K annually. You will work directly with the company’s leadership team while helping shape the early sales motion into this market. This is a high ownership role where the right person will have a real opportunity to influence how the company builds and scales its go-to-market strategy. VERY IMPORTANT - This role is structured under a contractor agreement, which is how the company hires across the team. However, the position is designed to function as a long-term full-time opportunity with no fixed end date and strong potential for growth within the company. You’re here to shape the sales motion alongside founders and leaders. Job Description Our client is hiring a Mid Market Account Executive who will own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through close. You are a heavy outbound hunter willing to put in the reps and the numbers to hit goals and make things happen. This role is primarily focused on selling to B2B SaaS companies, technology vendors, and professional service providers that want to become trusted partners within our client's network of Private Equity firms, Venture Capital firms, and their portfolio companies. You'll help position our client as a strategic growth channel while managing the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through close. You'll also engage directly with Private Equity and Venture Capital firms, so the ideal candidate is comfortable working with financially driven buyers and clearly articulating ROI to executive decision-makers. Comfortable selling to both Vendors (primarily) and PE/VC firms. Responsibilities Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close. Drive a heavy outbound pipeline targeting Private Equity firms and Venture Capital firms. Book and run discovery calls with portfolio operations teams, investment leaders, and decision makers responsible for portfolio performance. Conduct demos and clearly communicate the value of the platform. Close SaaS deals in the $30K to $70K ARR range. Build relationships with Private Equity and Venture Capital professionals who influence vendor selection across portfolio companies. Maintain strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline. Work closely with company leadership as the sales motion evolves. Provide feedback from the market to help refine positioning and messaging. Qualifications 3-7+ years of B2B SaaS full sales cycle experience. Experience generating pipeline through outbound prospecting. Proven experience closing deals in the $30K to $70K ARR range. Strong ability to communicate financial impact and ROI to analytical buyers. Experience selling to executive-level decision makers. Demonstrated success working in startup or early-stage company environments. Highly self-motivated and comfortable operating with autonomy. Strong communication skills and professional presence in virtual selling environments. Nice to Have Experience selling to Private Equity firms, Venture Capital firms, or portfolio operations teams. Experience selling platforms related to vendor management, marketplaces, procurement tools, or startup infrastructure. Experience selling into financially driven buyer personas such as CFOs or operational leadership teams.
