Role Description The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, with a focus on organizing case files, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and formatting legal documents, preparing and filing pleadings and motions, and assisting with discovery requests and responses. The role involves conducting legal research, reviewing and summarizing documents, and coordinating with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as needed. The Litigation Paralegal will also help prepare trial materials, exhibits, and witness lists, and ensure case management systems are updated accurately. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL. Qualifications Strong skills in legal document preparation and document review for litigation matters. Experience conducting legal research using online databases and other authoritative sources. Proficiency in drafting and managing pleadings and motions in State and Federal courts. Knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements. Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred; prior litigation paralegal experience strongly beneficial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency with legal case management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic filing systems. Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff, maintain confidentiality, and interact professionally with clients. #J-18808-Ljbffr
