Overview
Registered Nurse, Emergency Department travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date 08/03/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is a day schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in a hospital-based ED. Weekly pay range is $2,094 to $2,257 per week. This assignment requires floating within the ED and occurs in a unit with 64 beds, serving newborns through geriatric patients. RTO must be included at time of submission.

Responsibilities
- Deliver professional ED nursing care to patients across the lifespan, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Perform accurate initial triage, rapid assessment, continuous monitoring, and stabilization of patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial injury, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Administer medications, IV therapies, analgesia, and fluid resuscitation; operate specialty equipment as needed (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun)
- Document thoroughly in the EPIC EMR, communicate changes to the care team, and assist with discharge planning and patient throughput
- Collaborate with charge nurses and multidisciplinary teams; respond to rapidly evolving clinical scenarios; participate in float coverage within the ED as required
- Maintain compliance with certification requirements and department protocols; support system-wide patient safety and infection control practices

Requirements
- Active NY RN license with Nursys verification; ability to provide verification of all RN licenses
- 2+ years of emergency department experience; pediatric experience preferred; travel experience required
- Certifications: current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIHSS; TNCC (TNCC must be in hand)
- EMR experience required: EPIC
- Licensure and documentation: driver’s license with address that matches demographics; RTO included at submission
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment and float as needed
