Ignite students’ passion for learning by stepping into a rewarding role supporting adolescents as a Math Interventionist and ESL teacher in a dynamic high school environment. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for educators who are enthusiastic about making a meaningful impact, combining classroom math instruction with targeted English language support. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll work closely with students who need additional math intervention as well as those developing English language proficiency, shaping confident learners ready to tackle academic challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid teaching certification in General Education and/or ESL (required)
- Background in high school math instruction and intervention strategies
- Experience providing English as a Second Language support
- Effective classroom management skills and adaptability
- Strong communication and collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards-based math lessons and targeted interventions
- Design and implement individual and small-group instruction for ESL learners
- Assess student progress, using data to adjust instructional strategies
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and administrators to support student success
- Participate in ongoing professional development
- Foster a supportive, culturally responsive, and motivating classroom atmosphere
