This rewarding, full-time opportunity centers on a collaborative approach, working closely within a team of three educators to foster a supportive co-teaching environment. You’ll play a vital role in helping approximately 20 students thrive academically and socially.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle school students or a similar age group
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a co-teaching team

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in a 6th grade co-teaching setting
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to support growth
• Maintain open, proactive communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to ensure all students’ needs are met
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing program improvement initiatives
