Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Proven experience working with high school-aged students in a special education setting
• Strong understanding of IEPs and individualized instruction
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to inclusive and student-centered teaching practices
• Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of learners ages 16-21

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to varying abilities and learning styles
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
