Process Improvement Analyst

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an Analyst to join a lean, collaborative team dedicated to enhancing financial processes, systems, and operations across the organization. This role is suitable for an individual with a strong accounting background who enjoys analyzing current processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing more efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate existing accounting and finance processes to identify opportunities for standardization, improvement, and increased efficiency.
\n
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements, challenges, and areas for process enhancement.
\n
• Support initiatives involving system workflows, process redesign, automation, and system enhancements.
\n
• Assist with the implementation, testing, and ongoing optimization of financial systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions.
\n
• Participate in gathering requirements, creating process maps, documenting procedures, testing, and executing implementations.
\n
• Analyze financial data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for better controls and streamlined workflows.
\n
• Support user acceptance testing to ensure new processes and system functionalities align with business needs.
\n
• Develop and maintain documentation related to processes, procedures, workflows, and transformation projects.
\n
• Track project activities, communicate progress, and address issues or dependencies with stakeholders.
\n
• Contribute to change management efforts and facilitate adoption of new financial tools and processes.
\n
• Take ownership of initiatives, ensuring timely progress within a lean and dynamic team environment.
\n
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across the organization to promote a collaborative culture.

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
\n
• Professional experience in accounting or a closely related financial function.
\n
• Practical experience in process improvement, including evaluating and implementing process enhancements.
\n
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial data flow within organizations.
\n
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
\n
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with finance and cross-functional teams.
\n
• Comfort working onsite four days per week and contributing actively to a team-oriented environment.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

\n
• Experience supporting the implementation, upgrade, migration, or optimization of financial systems, especially ERP solutions.
\n
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is highly preferred.
\n
• Knowledge of process mapping, workflow automation, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
\n
• Background in financial transformation, finance systems implementation, or continuous process improvement environments.
