1st Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Team Member is in charge of ensuring high-quality distribution of food products by safely and effectively receiving products to meet the needs of our customers. Role and Responsibilities Load and unload products from the trucks Review products for damage before shipments Sort and place materials and items according to organizational standards Label products and store them in an organized manner Communicate efficiently with supervisors and teammates Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area by maintaining company sanitation and food safety standards. Operate a forklift or hydraulic jack lift to move boxes. Work to solve inventory variances and trace-and-track issues. Follow all rules / guidelines / GMP’s. (Good Manufacturing Practices) Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED 1+ years’ experience with loading and unloading trucks 1+ years’ experience of inventory control Previous forklift experience Able to operate a variety of forklifts. Forklift certification is preferred. Knowledge of GMPs, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations. Understand the people and departments and support team decisions. Work Environment and Physical Requirements The work environment is a cold production setting with concrete floors. This position requires the team member to: Stand in cold temperatures (38 degrees) for seven (7) or more hours in a day Handle cold and wet product throughout the day Able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day and occasionally 70 lbs. Visually identify and evaluate product Able to see at a distance for driving, able to hear bells and horns for anticipating oncoming forklift traffic. May work in aisles or narrow passageways Food Safety Kilcoy has adopted the SQF System for food safety management and is under continuous USDA meat & poultry jurisdiction.
