Grassroots Marketing & Catering Sales Manager | Rusty Taco

Location: Tempe, Scottsdale, Gilbert, AZ

Reports To: Vice President of Operations

Rusty Taco is a fast-casual restaurant brand known for its fresh, flavorful tacos and commitment to delivering a fun and welcoming dining experience. We’re looking for a passionate, outgoing, and community minded individual to help grow our catering business and strengthen our local presence through grassroots marketing.

The Grassroots Marketing & Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving catering sales and building community relationships to increase brand awareness and customer loyalty. This role blends sales, marketing, and relationship building to ensure Rusty Taco is the go-to option for events, offices, schools, and local organizations.

 
The ideal candidate will be energetic, creative, and results-driven someone who thrives on building connections and turning them into long-term catering partnerships.

· Develop and execute strategies to grow catering sales for assigned stores.

· Prospect and secure new catering accounts with businesses, schools, organizations, and community groups.

· Manage the catering sales pipeline from lead generation to closing, ensuring consistent revenue growth.

· Track performance metrics and report results to leadership.

· Build strong relationships with local businesses, chambers of commerce, schools, and community organizations.

· Represent Rusty Taco at community events, festivals, and networking functions.

· Host and coordinate local market events, such as taco giveaways, pop-ups, and neighborhood activations, to increase visibility and drive trial.

· Distribute promotional materials and create local marketing activations to drive brand awareness.

· Partner with store leadership to implement creative, neighborhood-focused marketing campaigns. .( I.e.: in store trivia nights, free taco days)

· Collaborate with restaurant teams to ensure seamless catering execution and customer satisfaction.

· Provide feedback to improve catering operations, packaging, and menu offerings.

· Manage budgets for grassroots marketing activities, maximizing ROI.

Qualifications

· 2+ years of sales, catering, or marketing experience (restaurant or hospitality industry preferred).

· Proven ability to drive revenue growth and build lasting client relationships.

· Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills.

· Self-starter with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.

· Flexible schedule, with ability to attend events, meetings, and activities outside traditional business hours.
