Vice President, Multifamily Asset Management

Position Summary The Vice President will work within the Multifamily Asset Management Group, overseeing a diversified, national portfolio of core, value‑add, and opportunistic multifamily assets. The role focuses on maximizing profitability and value creation for the fund while ensuring strategic alignment with portfolio management and related internal teams. Essential Job Duties Oversee the operational and financial performance of the portfolio. Develop and implement asset‑management strategies to maximize asset value and drive investment performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with third‑party property managers and internal/external teams. Lead business‑plan execution, optimizing profitability while minimizing risk through financial modeling, underwriting, budgeting, and market analysis. Conduct comprehensive review of financial statements (P&Ls, balance sheets, cash‑flow statements) and perform Argus and Excel‑based analysis. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of portfolio reporting, reviewing third‑party reports and compiling internal reports. Approve and oversee capital expenditures, providing guidance to internal and third‑party construction managers. Manage the annual budget process, including revenue and expense budgets, marketing plans, and valuation models. Maintain and apply local market knowledge to support growth and investment objectives. Support acquisitions, underwriting assumptions, and due‑diligence during the acquisition phase. Collaborate with the disposition team on asset sales, providing valuations and necessary documents. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 8–10years of direct experience in multifamily equity asset management, preferably with an owner/operator background. Strong operational and financial acumen with a proven track record of managing diverse multifamily portfolios. Leadership ability to motivate teams and drive accountability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and asset valuation. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience managing transactional details and external relationships. Willingness to travel 25%–40% domestically. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $180,000 – $225,000. Total compensation may include a discretionary performance‑based bonus.
