Sales Manager

Job Title: Sales Manager – La‑Z‑Boy Furniture Galleries Location: North Dartmouth, MA Job Summary Lead the sales team in a high‑end boutique showroom, delivering a premium customer experience and exceeding sales goals through effective strategy, coaching, and brand advocacy. Responsibilities Achieve or surpass store and individual sales goals, annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives. Guide high‑end clients through a premium sales experience and create inspired spaces with world‑class furniture and décor. Promote In‑home design program and manage the ordering, delivery, and installation process. Champion and model the sales process, overseeing floor interactions and evaluating team performance. Provide coaching, training, and support to sales teams to improve techniques, strategies, and overall performance. Recruit, train, and mentor staff to meet sales targets while fostering a positive work environment. Build a motivated, cohesive team and maintain long‑term customer relationships for loyalty and satisfaction. Ensure the store and team consistently reflect the company’s brand image, values, and customer experience standards. Support company‑wide marketing initiatives and promotions, ensuring correct execution and alignment with brand positioning. Resolve customer concerns and operational issues, comply with administrative procedures, and uphold brand visual standards. Support planning and execution of sales promotions, events, and retail initiatives. Minimum Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent. 1‑3 years of retail sales experience with a focus on high‑end or luxury retail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and basic financial understanding. Strong interpersonal communication, analytical skills, goal orientation, and team management ability. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Preferred Requirements Experience managing a retail sales team. Strong business acumen and advanced interpersonal skills. Experience in building effective relationships and delivering well‑executed design solutions. Physical Demands / Work Environment Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods; frequent walking, bending, stooping. Repeated hand motions, hearing, and listening required; may be required to sit, walk, bend, or stoop. Work inside environmental conditions; pass background and drug screen. Weekly Hours 40 hours per week. Pay & Compensation Training Pay: $20 per hour for 2‑6 weeks (no commission). Post‑Training Pay: Base $10,400 per year; 6% on La‑Z‑Boy Design Sales, 4% on other sales; monthly bonus up to $1,500 based on store sales goals.
