Project Manager - Corrections Construction

Project ManagerSletten Construction is looking for a Project Manager to support current and future construction projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of multiple projects. He/She will provide leadership to take charge of challenging projects, encourage teamwork, and supply the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve company goals and objectives. All business will be conducted in accordance with Sletten Construction Company's mission and vision statements. Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize and assist in staffing key field positionsMonitor/control construction through administrative direction of an on-site superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.Investigate construction, existing condition, or design issues and implement corrective measures.Assist with project pursuit and procurement including preparation of RFQ responses and interviews.Coordinate with in house Preconstruction team, Architects, Engineers and Owners through the design process.Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders.Maintain and update project schedules.Participate in employee continuing education in-house or through outside programs.Counsel and, when needed, terminate unsatisfactory or unneeded employees.Manage the project team providing assignments, leading, and training junior team members, and tracking task completion in conjunction with project requirements.Learn and utilize ProCore, Viewpoint and other relevant industry software.Ensure vehicle fleet and equipment are maintained, and Sletten's Vehicle policies are upheld.Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company.Support our goal of achieving zero accidents.Investigate and document all accidents.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Sciences, Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, building science, etc.) or related discipline.8+ years of work experience in project management, contracting, engineering, or construction managementPast leadership experience required.Superior communication and interpersonal skillsDeveloped office management and organizational skillsValid driver's license and ability to be insuredExcellent time management skillsAdditional InformationThis position reports to Division ManagerThis role is a traveling position and job site visits are required.Office and field environment requiring sitting, climbing and standing.Travel to various construction sites is required, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise and the need to stand and walk.EOE, M/F/V/D are encouraged to apply.
