Ambulance Dispatcher, Emergency Communications Specialist

Role Overview

Apply emergency dispatch expertise to help train next-generation AI systems using high-quality, real-world emergency communications input. This remote contract role focuses on protocol-driven assessment, prioritization, and routing of urgent requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and triage emergency requests through radio, phone, and chat using standardized protocols and checklists.
• Assess urgency and incident type across concurrent requests to allocate resources appropriately in real time.
• Document inbound communications and dispatch decisions accurately and clearly.
• Route information and dispatch instructions to relevant responders in accordance with established operating procedures.
• Manage simultaneous inbound and outbound communication streams while maintaining close attention to detail.
• Contribute subject-matter expertise to data-quality standards, protocol evaluation, and realistic AI communications simulations.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions that improve the realism and accuracy of emergency communications simulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in ambulance or emergency dispatch operations, including incident triage and prioritization.
• Ability to remain composed and multitask effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
• Clear, concise, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing radio, phone, and chat communications simultaneously.
• Proficiency with standardized decision-making protocols and checklists.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to complete, accurate documentation.
• Dispatcher or coordinator experience is highly valued. Formal certification is not required.
• No prior AI experience is required.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $30 to $55 per hour.
