Area Security ManagerAmazon Corporate Security (ACS) is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, corporate security leader who embodies Amazon's Leadership Principles, in particular, Customer Obsession, Ownership, Earn Trust, and Bias for Action, to join the team as an Area Security Manager (ASM) supporting Amazon Leo. The Area Security Manager is responsible for implementation of all elements of the Corporate Security program at Amazon Leo locations in their area of responsibility. Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. This position supports the Amazon Leo Physical Security Sr. Manager with delivery and oversight of the day-to-day security operations at multiple sites across multiple locations in a highly ambiguous and dynamically fluid environment. The Area Security Manager conducts security assessments, ensures that the corporate sites meet or exceed all requisite security standards, and manages incidents and supports crisis response. The Area Security Manager provides security consultancy to local business leadership, develops plans to mitigate gaps in security controls, and manages the guarding and access control programs. Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.Key job responsibilities:Deliver best-in-class security services focused on enhancing the safety and security of all Amazon employees, contractors, and visitorsManage day-to-day security operations for a diverse portfolio of sites and customers with unique requirements in an ambiguous environmentBe the trusted security advisor and subject matter expert for all levels of Amazon and Amazon Leo employees in the assigned area of responsibility, through high-quality communication and excellent briefing skillsAssist in the design, development, and implementation of physical security, including security design reviews, post-occupancy projects, logistics processes, standards, and proceduresCoordinate facility security incident response and reportingProactively audit and identify security gaps at Amazon Leo locations while managing audit action items to closeMonitor external threat environments and take measures to minimize security risk to the businessSuccessfully align ACS metrics, goals, and strategic direction to support the overall team and organizational missionEarn trust through key customer and stakeholder engagements, and liaison with external partnersWork cross functionally with peers in partner security, compliance, EHS, and Leo business teams to establish scalable physical security standards that meet the businesses' needsUnderstand US Government regulatory requirements for physical security assurance and export complianceA day in the life:Oversee guarding operations and hold guarding vendors accountable for the quality-of-service delivery, identifying opportunities for cost efficienciesBuild relationships with internal and external security, law enforcement, and Amazon Leo partnersConduct risk assessments and develop plans to close potential gaps in security controlsConduct site security assessments, identify trends in findings, and implement measures to address systemic issuesPlan and lead drills, tabletop exercises, and other security readiness activities across sitesConduct initial incident investigations, triage incidents and collaborate with specialist security teams to support the customerConduct customer outreach and support organizational safety and security initiativesAbout the team:Diverse Experiences: Amazon Security values diverse experiences.
