VP, Business Development — M&A Advisory Solutions

You understand how to sell into the deal market. Now bring that experience closer to the transactions themselves.

A global advisory and risk-solutions business is expanding its Chicago team and hiring a commercially driven business development professional.

The team helps investors, businesses and their advisors address risks that can complicate acquisitions, investments and other transactions. Working alongside specialists with backgrounds in law, banking, tax and insurance, you will introduce solutions that help clients move deals forward with greater confidence.

This is an individual-contributor sales role with responsibility for winning new business and developing relationships across the M&A community.

What you’ll do

• Originate relationships with investment bankers, M&A attorneys, investors and other transaction professionals.

• Identify live opportunities and introduce specialist transaction risk and insurance solutions.
\n
• Lead the commercial relationship, bringing technical colleagues into discussions at the right stage.
\n
• Build a pipeline through direct outreach, referrals, industry events and existing relationships.

Who could be a strong fit

You have a record of winning business in a consultative sales environment and experience selling to professionals involved in transactions.

Your background could include virtual data rooms, financial research, investment data, deal software, legal services or advisory solutions. Relevant buyer relationships and new-business success matter more than an insurance background.
