Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 + Uncapped Commission + Excellent Benefits

Bright Minds' established machine-tool solutions client is hiring a Sales Manager to manage and grow its West Coast territory, expanding existing customer relationships while developing and closing new business.

In this role, you'll manage the full sales cycle across a large geographic territory, including prospecting new accounts, managing inbound leads, conducting customer-site visits, identifying equipment and application needs, and gathering technical information for estimates and proposals. You'll develop territory sales strategies, maintain an active pipeline, and work directly with manufacturing customers to recommend comprehensive machine-tool solutions.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and technically capable sales professional with 3–5+ years of proven machine-tool sales experience, strong knowledge of CNC and machine-tool technology, and a demonstrated ability to develop accounts and close new business. This role requires frequent travel and is best suited for someone comfortable operating independently across a large territory.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow existing customer accounts throughout the assigned West Coast territory while identifying opportunities for additional business.
• Prospect, develop, and close new business with manufacturing customers and manage inbound website and phone leads.
• Conduct regular customer-site visits to identify equipment and application needs and develop appropriate machine-tool solutions.
• Gather detailed technical information required to support estimates, proposals, and customer recommendations.
• Develop annual territory business plans and sales strategies while working toward company sales and profitability goals.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, lead, and sales activity information in the CRM and maintain strong knowledge of machine-tool technology and available solutions.

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years of proven sales experience specifically involving machine tools, large CNC equipment, or machine-tool solutions technology.
• Strong technical aptitude and working knowledge of CNC and machine-tool technology.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop accounts, manage existing customers, and close new business across a geographic territory.
• Strong customer-facing, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build credibility with manufacturing customers.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 2–3 weeks per month for customer-site visits throughout the territory.
• CRM experience required; Zoho experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is also required.
