Job Title Per Diem Nurse Practitioner – Cardiac Cath Lab Nursing at Mount Sinai Hospital A Registered Nurse Practitioner engaged to work on an as-needed basis for patient care delivery. Description The Nurse Practitioner provides clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include maintaining BCLS/ACLS certification, completing required orientation, complying with institutional regulations, maintaining telephone accessibility, notifying unit or care center office of changes in contact information, and submitting a letter of resignation at least two weeks before the effective date. Responsibilities Provide clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis. Maintain BCLS/ACLS Certification and annual program requirements; participate in classes offered by Nursing Education. Possess required competence in the area of assignment within the guidelines of the position description. Complete the necessary orientation program as coordinated by Nursing Education prior to engagement. Comply with all institutional regulations as a full‑time employee. Maintain telephone accessibility for control of assignment and notify the unit or care center office of any changes in contact information. Submit a letter of resignation at least two weeks ahead of effective date. Qualifications Master's degree program designed to prepare a registered nurse to provide acute/primary health care services, or successful completion of an approved supplemental education program (post‑Masters NP certificate). Relevant clinical nursing experience. RN License (Agency: DOH / Office of Professions). CNP License (Agency: DOH / Office of Professions). Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification (Agency: AHA). ACLS Certification (in ED; PACU/ASU; ICUs; Telemetry Units; SDU; IR, Interventional Cardiology (CCL/EP/Echo); L&D; Endoscopy, and APN Adult Oncology). NRP Certification (Labor and Delivery, NICU depts). PALS Certification (in ED; PACU; IR; Peds ICU, and APNs Pediatric Oncology depts.).
