Project Accountant

Kforce's client, a growing organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area, is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to support project-based accounting activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash analysis, and month-end close. This on-site position will collaborate with project leaders and accounting team members to maintain accurate financial records, improve processes, and support timely client billing. • Manage project-related accounting activities, including pay-when-paid accounts payable
• Partner with project leaders to ensure accounts receivable activities are completed accurately and on time
• Collect lien waivers and prepare supporting documentation for client invoices
• Complete and present weekly cash analyses
• Process bank deposits and employee expense reimbursement reports
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and the timely preparation of financial statements
• Cross-train with accounting team members to provide consistent support across business entities
• Collaborate across the organization to improve accounting processes and procedures
• Perform additional accounting duties as assigned
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience or applicable college-level coursework
• Understanding of basic financial and accounting principles
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• QuickBooks experience is a plus
• Viewpoint Vista experience is required
• Construction industry experience is preferred
