Food Server

Server Position

As a Server, you will serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner while ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Responsibilities include:

• Enthusiastically promoting a customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
• Serving customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that "the customer is always right"
• Performing table set-up, running side work, and closing duties
• Possessing extensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu and wine list, including daily specials
• Checking identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages
• Checking identification to ensure customers are using players cards issued to them and no one else
• Removing items from table when customers have finished meals
• Computing customer checks, operating the POS system and accepting payments
• Reporting tips for each shift
• Maintaining bar safety and sanitation standards
• Possessing awareness of potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burns
• Arriving for each shift on time and in full uniform
• Attending all pre-shift meetings ready to "listen and learn" and share ideas
• Avoiding leaving work area during peak periods
• Taking breaks only when approved by the Manager
• Keeping a clean and professional appearance at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
• Must have six months or more related experience
• Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation:

• $9.00/hr plus tips
