Direct Care Registered Nurse

City/State: Norfolk, VA Work Shift: First (Days), 7:00am to 5:30pm, four ten‑hour shifts per week. Call coverage required. Sign‑On Bonus: up to $30,000 for qualified candidates. Overview We are hiring a Registered Nurse to work in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Responsibilities Perform competent level nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, and health promotion). Apply nursing standards of professional performance: ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Float, monitor, scrub, and assist with procedures including diagnostic caths, interventions, CTOs, Afib Watchman device, Impella, intra‑aortic balloon pump (IABP), TAVR heart valve replacement, Mitra clips, left/right heart caths, biopsies, cardioversions, transesophageal echo, loop recorder implants, etc. Communicate effectively with the interprofessional team and patients/ families. Qualifications Associate's Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required). BSN or MSN preferred. Virginia RN License (or Compact/Multi‑State Eligible). Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire. Registered Nurse experience in Critical Care, PCU, ER, Cardiac, Step‑down, or Recovery Room preferred. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision plans.
