Direct Care Registered Nurse, Emergency Department

Overview Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED). Location & Schedule City/State: Hampton, VA. Work Shift: First (Days) – 36 scheduled hours per week. License and Certification Virginia or Compact Multi‑State RN license in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required as part of the ED nursing staff. Education RN‑Associate’s Degree, RN‑Bachelor’s Degree, RN‑Diploma, or RN‑Master’s Degree. Responsibilities Assess and admit patients to the ED. Conduct charting and rounding checks. Administer medications and document effectively. Communicate with patients’ families and coordinate care. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality care.
