The PMO will build a synergistic relationship with other department managers within the organization to deliver the best customer experience. This position will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, motivating, and disciplining Project Management department managers and associates, as well as coaching and mentoring others within the organization. Strengths in operational excellence for ensuring the effective and efficient running of the day-to-day business operations, and profitability of the company by maintaining booked margins post sale. You would also focus on developing plans and processes to ensure the customer experience is optimal both external and internal and our “customer first” core value is always priority. You will drive the implementation of best practices and support processesResponsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:Please note the essential functions may vary depending on department size, organizational structure and/or geographic location. Ensure all projects over 5k have project plansEnsure project plans are initiated within the 4 days of receiving the POEnsure Kick off meeting are scheduled within 4 days of receiving the POEnsure the PM sends a kick-off email to the customer within 48hours of receiving a POManage quote expectations and ensure booked margin is enforcedEnsure weekly status reports are issued to all jobs over 5kEnsure the proper utilization of Q360 (become an expert in Q360)Maintain proper staffing levels to ensure customer deliveryProvide leadership and guidance to all Operational initiativesCollaborate with executive management to define policies and implement procedures, performance standards, and best practicesEvaluate employee performance and provide coaching and support as neededWork with finance to manage and maintain the profitability of all projectsLead, motivate, and support a large team of Project Managers within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including many large-scale client projects, and setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolutionsResolve operational issues and project resource support, identify opportunities to improve processes, gain efficiencies, and improve financial performance.Prioritize issues and resolve problems based on business impact.Forecast AVDG Revenue based on existing projectsCommunicate effectively up and down the organization.Additional duties and projects as assigned.About the Guitar Center CompanyThe Guitar Center Company embodies the world of creativity and music by encouraging our teammates to find their own individual sound. AVDG and GCPro headline the enterprise audio-visual integration business, delivering a best-in-class commercial and residential customer experience.Job RequirementsTo join our band, you'll need the following experience:High school education or equivalentAssociates degree (2 year) or Bachelor’s degree (4 year) in a technical capacity is desirableFive years of experience in the engineering and installation of Electronic Security systems, or related field. Has a strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, PLC’s and operations. Good subcontracting skills required. An understanding of job financial reports, and the ability control costs in the handling of large projects.5+ years of project management requiredAVIXA CTS certification strongly preferredPMI PMP certification strongly preferredStrong leadership and team development skills across multiple locations.Proven ability to manage project budgets, margins, and profitability.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational, planning, and resource management abilities.Proficiency in project management systems; Q360 experience preferredTravel Requirements:Occasional travel required dependent on business needs (25-30%)Why Guitar Center Company?
