We are a designated MBSAQIP Center of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.

Atrium Health Weight Management, created in 2007, was the first in the region to combine medical and surgical weight loss programs within the same center, thus providing the most comprehensive and advanced medical weight loss options to patients. Atrium Health Weight Management includes board certified and fellowship trained surgeons who specialize in minimally invasive bariatric surgery, obesity medicine physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, registered dietitians, insurance specialists as well as nurses and clinical assistants. You will have the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and an obesity medicine fellow about the chronic disease of obesity. We are one of a few practices that has an obesity medicine fellowship program.

Highlights Training and/or Experience Required

• Candidate must be BC/BE in FM or IM
• Expertise in the field of bariatric medicine
• Diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine required
