Registered Nurse (RN) - Rehab

Registered Nurse – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Schedule - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

Assignment Details

• Avg. daily census: 8 (10 listed elsewhere)
• Rooms / Beds: 7 rooms / 14 beds

Requirements

• Valid California RN license in hand required
• BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of inpatient rehab experience
• Epic charting system experience required

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide acute inpatient rehabilitation care for adults and geriatrics.
• Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, utilizing assistive devices.
• Manage tracheostomy care, PEG/NG tube management, and enteral feeding.
• Execute wound care, IV starts, and central line (PICC) care.
• Monitor and manage stroke scales and neuro/orthopedic post-op care, including pain and seizure management.
• Implement isolation precautions and oxygen therapy as needed.

Compliance / Notes

• Orientation: 40 hours
• Submission requirements: SSN, DOB, and RTO must be included at the time of submission
• RTO restriction: No more than 7 days
• Traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Return staff policy: 3 months required to return as traveler
• Pre-start modules required (average ~16 hours)
