Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:
Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures with competence to produce high-quality images for physicians and healthcare providers. Operates independently, utilizing clinical skills to deliver accurate, timely results, and ensures patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of routine and specialized sonographic examinations following established protocols.
• Assess patients' conditions and adapt procedures accordingly to optimize image quality.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to explain procedures and address concerns.
• Document findings accurately and prepare detailed reports for review by healthcare providers.
• Adhere to all regulatory, privacy, and safety standards for patient care and data protection.

Qualifications:

• Possess ARDMS certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Graduation from an accredited diagnostic sonography program or equivalent credential.
• Have at least 2 years of recent relevant sonography experience.
• Exhibit intermediate knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating sonography equipment and responding to hospital emergencies.
• Hold valid CA State Licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
