The PCAS organization staffs engineers for a variety of roles supporting primarily tactical missile Integrated Product Teams.What You Will DoSupport may include but is not limited to detailed mechanical design, test design and execution, systems engineering, proposals and estimates, or earned value management.You will be expected to flex responsibilities based on the current needs of the organization and their respective skill sets.What You Will LearnThe PCAS organization provides ample opportunities for hands-on hardware work. PCAS engineers are exposed to a variety of lab activities including engineering builds, hardware integration, and hardware verification.The PCAS organization provides a strong technical learning environment with a dedicated technology pyramid comprised of engineering fellows.PCAS engineers are provided the opportunity for direct access to these subject matter experts, fostering accelerated technical growth.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experienceA minimum of 5 years of engineering experienceExperience designing and/or modifying Harness and/or Interconnect devicesQualifications We PreferExperience with engineering of complex systems of devices and interconnects.Experience with development of harnessing requirements, system architecture, requirements risk, requirements verification and validation, system performance & function, safety and environmental complianceExperience working with a wide variety of industry / military standards and specificationsExperience generating first order electrical analysis including, but not limited to, DC resistance and voltage dropExperience deriving applicable technical requirements from higher level specificationsProficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5Proven ability to deconstruct higher level tasks into discrete lower-level work packages and tasksProven ability to take ownership of complex harnessing systems and coordinating completion of technical data packages with peersExperience developing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire product lifecycle including proposal, design, manufacture, integration and testDeveloping subject matter expertise round wire, rf, and/or rigid-flex harnessesExperience with harness design with mixed signals including knowledge of differential signals and shielding for EMI/RFI and crosstalk concerns.Moderate 3D modeling skills with a prominent commercial software packageExperience with Pro/Engineer/CREO 3D modeling and mechanical drawing generationExperience with Creo Schematic, Mentor Capital, or other electrical system documentation softwareExperience with flex and rigid flex design including familiarity with ECAD software, PCB design, signal integrity, copper weight calculations, adhesives, dielectrics, coverlays, stiffeners and thermal management. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
