Responsibilities include: Perform a variety of geotechnical laboratory tests under direct supervision and established procedures Conduct testing such as Atterberg Limits, Sieve Analysis, Unconfined Compressive Strength, CBR, Swell, and other soil classification and engineering tests Operate laboratory equipment and maintain testing instruments in accordance with company procedures Accurately document test data, observations, and results Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to support testing activities Perform calculations and prepare reports using standard laboratory methods and software tools Assist with project-specific observations and site assessment activities as needed Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and team members Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED required No experience required; training will be provided Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to read and understand work plans, specifications, and instructions Basic math and problem-solving skills Flexibility to work overtime, off-shift, or occasional overnight hours as business needs require Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds; occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with assistance Stand and walk for extended periods Kneel, squat, bend, and perform physical tasks as needed Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold Occasionally climb and work at elevated heights Ability to hear, understand, and respond to verbal instructions and workplace sounds Ability to work overtime, off-shift, and occasional overnight hours Build Your Future with Intertek-PSI At Intertek-PSI, you'll gain hands-on experience, work alongside industry professionals, and contribute to projects that help shape communities.
