JMT's Technology Group is seeking a Service Desk Intern. The Service Desk intern’s role is to assist the Service Desk in all areas of end user support as needed. This involves assistance in Computer Deployment, Computer updates, Software updates and requests to the Service Desk. This would include acting as a team member on various projects assigned to the Service Desk. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Software updates – Assist in the deployment of new software and software updates Documentation – Document calls to the Service Desk, procedures for end users and new technology as needed Service Desk Support – Respond to Service Desk calls and support tickets and assist or upscale as necessary Computer Deployment – Image, configure and deliver computer and other hardware to users Required Experience Qualified candidate would be working toward a degree in Information systems or related Information Technology curriculum Preferred Experience Coursework in related field Previous internship experience Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
