Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations including medical history review and physical assessments to diagnose orthopedic conditions and establish treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized treatment programs tailored to each patient's specific objectives, incorporating various therapeutic techniques.
• Employ a hands-on approach utilizing manual therapy, joint mobilization, and tailored exercises to enhance recovery processes.
• Educate patients and their families about injury prevention strategies, the importance of posture correction, ergonomic practices, and effective home exercise routines.
• Monitor patient progress with objective assessments and adjust treatment plans to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop a cohesive, holistic treatment strategy for each patient.
• Utilize contemporary physical therapy modalities and technology to track progress and refine treatment protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation to enhance the quality of care provided.
• Participate in regular meetings and professional development opportunities, contributing to team discussions on patient care and clinic operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your role will be on outpatient rehabilitation for diverse populations, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletes returning to sport, and elderly clients needing assistance with mobility and strength. You will engage with patients facing a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, providing customized therapy sessions that cater to each individual's recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• A valid California Physical Therapy License, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic physical therapy techniques and a solid understanding of manual therapy.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and their families.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills for a comprehensive approach to physical therapy.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for scheduling, documentation, and tracking patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of relevant experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports rehabilitation settings.
• Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) is a plus, indicating advanced expertise.
• Experience working with advanced therapeutic modalities and in multi-disciplinary healthcare teams.
