Master Scheduler

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for an experienced Master Scheduler to manage the flow of materials from purchasing through production. Directs and coordinates activities of production scheduling, new order commitments, future state load capacity planning using available forecasting tools. Planning and developing the master production schedule for manufacturing products to meet delivery dates and/or achieve inventory levels or other distribution goals. Job Type Full‑time Key Responsibilities Ensure accuracy of customer order commitments Work with the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of quality parts/materials Plan production control operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products Participate in production decisions concerning new product lines Use product specifications and release dates to determine schedules and resource needs Use available tools to ensure daily, weekly, monthly goals are clearly communicated to all production departments Utilize knowledge of production specifications, manufacturing processes, materials availability, and mathematical planning tools to develop plans Closely monitor all instances of supply constraints and make suggestions for production shifts to ensure the budget is met Collaborate with all departments to investigate current/potential bottlenecks and propose solutions Compile, store, and retrieve other production data Partner with Customer Service to correct or adjust shop orders and maintain schedules Manage department staff; interview, hire, train employees; plan, assign, direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline; coach and develop talent; address issues and resolve problems Monitor status of production results and prepare reports for Plant Manager Preferred Qualifications 8+ years of related experience/training may substitute for a degree Above‑average oral and written communication skills and demonstrable knowledge of manufacturing operations, inventory, and production control Prior supervisory experience Strong numeracy and analytical skills Good problem‑solving and time‑management skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to set and achieve challenging goals Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles Education Bachelor’s degree in a related field Location Onsite Schedule Monday‑Friday Work Environment Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration; occasional electrical shock risk; moderate to occasionally loud noise Physical Demands Required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, communicate verbally and audibly; may occasionally sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift or move up to 25 pounds; require close, distance, peripheral, color, depth perception and adjusted focus vision Total Compensation Health/dental/vision coverage Employer‑paid and supplemental life insurance Short‑ and long‑term disability insurance Generous paid time off and holiday pay Monthly remote work stipend (for qualifying remote employees) 401(k) investment plan with up to 4% employer match Education support program Safety eyeglasses/shoe reimbursement Referral bonuses Bonus plan for all full‑time employees Salary $75,000 - $108,000 Equal Employment Opportunity Cadrex provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
