Join Our Team as an After School Special Educator (K-5) for the 2026-2027 School Year! Are you passionate about helping children thrive? We are looking for dedicated *Special Educators* to provide valuable one-on-one support for students in our vibrant after-school program! About Us:Cabot After School Program (CASP) enriches the lives of students from Kindergarten through 5th grade at Cabot Elementary School. We complement school-day learning with physical activities, creative arts, and social opportunities, all within a safe, fun, and structured environment where children build friendships and grow. Position Details:
Job Title: After School Inclusion/Support Staff (K-5 Special Educator).
Location : Cabot Elementary School, 229 Cabot Street, Newtonville, MA.
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:15 PM – 6:00 PM (+ half-hour team meeting).
- Wednesday: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM (staff meeting 10:30–11:30, kids arrive at 12:20).
- Additional early release days (11:30am-6 PM): 9/29, 10/27, 12/3, 2/4, 3/18, 5/6.
- Monthly evening staff meetings (6:00 PM – 7:30 PM).
- School Starts: September 2, 2026 (Before Labor Day).
- Mandatory Orientation: August 26, 27, 31 & September 1.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Professionals with a background in special education or inclusion.
- Caring, motivated, and reliable individuals who enjoy working with children aged 5-11.
- Special educators, classroom aides, college or graduate students, caregivers—all are welcome to apply!
- Prior experience in school, camp, or therapeutic settings preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with physical, behavioral, social, or medical needs.
- Foster social-emotional growth and engagement.
- Assist in creating strategies or adapting curriculum to support student success.
- Communicate progress regularly with parents and caregivers.
