Demolition Superintendent (Independence Demolition)

Demolition Superintendent Independence Demolition is looking for a Demolition Superintendent to join our expanding team. As the Demolition Superintendent, you will manage industrial and/or commercial demolition projects and supervise the day‑to‑day activities involved. You will assess the resources needed for each assignment, generate cost estimates, and keep the project budget on track. To learn more about our company, visit Typical Day Assist the estimating department with pre‑bid planning, productions, and field experience. Assist the Project Manager in preparing and maintaining a detailed project schedule. Prepare work sequences and detailed plans to utilize crews efficiently before mobilization. Read, understand, and interpret drawings and specifications. Monitor production, resource utilization, and overall job cost versus estimated cost to maintain profit margins. Perform project close‑out activities such as punch‑list coordination, furnishing as‑built drawings, providing O&M manuals, and compiling final estimate/retainer billing. Ensure mandatory safety practices are followed and cooperate positively with the safety representative. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory; additional construction certifications or training preferred. Minimum 5+ years of industrial demolition experience preferred. Strong organizational skills for handling a variety of tasks. Must develop positive working relationships with owners, project engineers, and local government offices. Ability to manage union workforces. Effective verbal communication skills with employees, vendors, owners, and general contractors. Benefits Weekly competitive pay.
