In this full-time, onsite role, you’ll help guide learners in a supportive Learning Resource Center environment, collaborating with fellow educators and supporting grades 6, 7, and 8. This contract position aligns with the 2026-2027 school year, offering you the chance to contribute to student growth and educational excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current WA Special Education Teacher certification, or willingness to obtain it
• Fingerprinting through OSPI or readiness to complete this requirement
• Strong foundation in special education principles and best practices
• Demonstrated experience working with middle school-age students
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 40 students
• Willingness to work exclusively onsite as part of a dedicated team
• Excellent communication skills for effective partnership with students, families, and colleagues

Your Day-to-Day:

• Deliver individualized instruction and interventions within the Learning Resource Center
• Collaborate with two other experienced LRC teachers to provide comprehensive support
• Develop and implement IEPs and progress monitoring plans
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive learning atmosphere for students in grades 6-8
• Communicate regularly with parents and school staff to ensure student progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
