Data Engineer (ETL) Onsite - Durham, NC What You'll Need to Succeed: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. 10+ years' experience in data engineering, with proven success in developing Spark services for data movement. Strong hands‑on experience with Java clients for consuming REST and SOAP APIs and Scala Spark batch applications. Expertise in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining ETL batch jobs using Apache Spark and EMR. Familiarity with processing big data using Apache Spark on clusters, and writing to NoSQL databases like Cassandra or Yugabyte. Experience with cloud‑based data warehousing and data lake solutions such as Snowflake, and knowledge of large dataset storage formats like Parquet or HDF5. Proven ability to build and deploy software solutions utilizing AWS cloud services. Nice-to-Have Skills: Python proficiency for pipeline scripting and automation. Experience with additional cloud services or data management tools. Preferred Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline. Over 8 years of professional data engineering experience, with a focus on ETL processes in cloud environments. Estimated Min Rate: $52.50 Estimated Max Rate: $75.00 What's In It for You?
