Technical Sales RepresentativeLocation: New Castle, PAOur client, an emerging and inventive metal firm, is in need of a Technical Sales Representative to be part of their expanding team. This role offers a special chance to merge technical knowledge with building relationships to push growth and bring value to clients in a dynamic and changing sector.Key ResponsibilitiesJoining the sales team as a vital member, you will be a technical advisor and trusted associate to clients, guiding them on how the company’s capabilities can cater to their needs. Collaborating closely with the Sales Director, you will actively contribute to business growth across various units while guaranteeing customer contentment from order placement to final delivery.Engaging with Customers & Boosting SalesCollaborate with clients to understand their requirements and suggest suitable technical solutions.Support two primary business sectors while aiding sales efforts in other areas.Establish strong relationships marked by efficient and knowledgeable service that meets client needs.Technical Proficiency & AssistanceAnalyze inquiries, set pricing, and develop process plans for steel ingot and billet production.Stay updated on steelmaking and downstream processes to act as a technical expert for clients and sales staff.Assist in order planning, scheduling, and product delivery, ensuring a seamless process from inquiry to receipt.Efficiency in OperationsSupervise customer orders and deliveries while overseeing WIP and stock levels.Monitor product and order profitability to aid in strategic decision-making.Investigate customer complaints alongside the Metallurgy team and work towards resolution.Spot opportunities to enhance sales and customer service procedures and implement ideas.Leadership & CooperationStep up to advise and assist the Sales Department when the Sales Director is unavailable.Collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain exceptional service and safety standards.QualificationsHold a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably focused on Metallurgy or Materials Science.Have 3–5 years of sales or marketing experience within the steel or metals industry, a definite advantage.Strong technical background with the ability to simplify complex processes into customer-oriented solutions.Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.Possess a valid driver’s license and be open to local, national, and international travel (25–30%).Why Apply?Embrace more than just a sales role — take part in shaping the future of a progressive metal company by building relationships and delivering important technical solutions.
