This full-time position, conducted primarily through telehealth services, allows you to make substantial contributions to the mental health and emotional well-being of students in Hugoton, Kansas. Work Environment\nThis remote position offers a flexible work setting, largely conducted through telehealth platforms, allowing you to utilize advanced technology to connect with students and their families. The telehealth model not only promotes accessibility for students but also supports a healthy work-life balance for our staff. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends to ensure the provision of comprehensive mental health services. You may also be required to be on call for urgent situations as they arise.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Perform detailed mental health assessments for students, establishing rapport and understanding personal histories, risk factors, and specific presenting concerns. \n
- Design and implement tailored treatment plans that promote emotional well-being, functional success in academic settings, and effective integration into the school community. \n
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy to meet a diverse range of mental health needs. \n
- Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing personal development, emotional regulation, and coping strategies, fostering a safe and constructive environment for students. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to create a team-based approach to care, ensuring that students receive holistic support. \n
- Engage in crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, deploying de-escalation techniques and facilitating appropriate referrals when necessary. \n
- Educate students and their families on mental health issues, available resources, and treatment methods, empowering them through psychoeducation. \n
- Maintain precise and confidential documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in adherence to legal and ethical standards. \n
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration across various health and education professionals. \n
- Remain up-to-date with relevant regulations, ethical guidelines, and best practices in mental health services specific to school settings. \n
The primary focus of this role encompasses a diverse population of students, each with distinct backgrounds and mental health challenges. Your expertise will directly contribute to supporting children and adolescents facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders, ensuring they receive the comprehensive mental health care they deserve.

- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Kansas is required. \n
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, with a preference for backgrounds in mental health or educational settings. \n
- In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and an understanding of trauma-informed care approaches. \n
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans. \n

- Exceptional crisis intervention skills, capable of maintaining composure in high-stress scenarios. \n
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds. \n
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and considered a tech-savvy professional. \n
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team-based environment. \n
