GEECO is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchasing and Billing Specialist to support our purchasing, inventory, vendor management, and billing operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products are purchased accurately, vendor relationships are maintained professionally, and customer invoices are prepared correctly.
The ideal candidate will be a strong learner who can quickly understand products, processes, and systems. They must possess good computer skills, be self-motivated, and have a commitment to accuracy.
Job Description:
- Create and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Source necessary products from approved vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of inventory.
- Track purchase orders from placement through delivery.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and order discrepancies.
- Resolve purchasing issues related to shortages, damaged goods, incorrect shipments, and invoice discrepancies in cooperation with Warehouse and Accounting team.
- Assist in developing and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Process and track RMA's (Return Material Authorizations) on the Vendor side.
- Prepare customer invoices daily.
- Miscellaneous related tasks.
Desired Skills and Attributes:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, billing, or related roles preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Strong computer skills preferred.
- Ability to learn new software systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong learner who can quickly understand new products, procedures, and systems.
- Self-motivated and dependable.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Business work hours are from 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. No weekends or overtime required.
Compensation dependent upon experience.
Minimum of seven paid holidays annually.
