Litigation Associate

Trueline’s client, a California-based litigation firm known for its deep bench strength and enduring client relationships, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their team in San Francisco. This is a growth opportunity for a mid‑level litigator to take on substantive responsibility within a collaborative firm that values mentorship, career longevity, and a strong trial practice. What You’ll Do Handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters including employment disputes, financial services defense, maritime claims, and commercial litigation. Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery. Appear at hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and negotiations. Work closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategy and prepare for trial. Be part of a firm that prioritizes attorney development and long‑term career growth. Must‑Have Skills At least 4 years of litigation experience in California. Solid command of California civil procedure and courtroom experience. Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating within a team. Nice‑to‑Have Skills Experience with arbitration, particularly binding arbitration. Background in maritime or securities litigation. Litigation experience involving financial institutions or employers.
