Common cases include burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries. Special procedures include burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy. Skills required include management of BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tube care, and CVA management. Experience with telemetry monitoring, surgical drains, total joint replacement care, and wound care is necessary. Candidates must have experience with rapid response/code teams and isolation precautions. Preferred experience includes trauma care and community hospital settings. Successful candidates will have strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment. Two professional references are required. One reference should be from a managerial or formal leadership position. This position involves compliance with credentialing and fingerprinting processes. All candidates must be prepared to complete these requirements promptly upon contract signing.
