We here at Raven Ridge are partnering with one of our clients to assist them in filling a Finance Coordinator role to join their accounting team. This is a hands-on role that offers exposure to multiple areas of finance and accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

• Support key accounting operations with a variety of functions, including billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the department.
• Assist with special projects to the Controller, reporting initiatives, and departmental tasks.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the evolving needs of the organization through accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
• Utilize the database to enter, update and maintain accurate records and reporting.
• Step in to support different members of the accounting team as business needs arise.
• Provide coverage for team members during vacations, absences, and other scheduled time away.
• Participate in ongoing cross-training initiatives to build knowledge across multiple finance functions.
• Work closely with internal staff and leadership to resolve questions, gather information, and support department objectives.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and colleagues while providing exceptional service.
• Contribute to process improvements and help identify opportunities to increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• Approximately 6 years of experience in accounting, doing billing, AP and AR, or a similar financial role.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with the ability to learn new technology quickly.
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
• Strong mindfulness and organizational abilities.
• Excellent follow-up skills and a commitment to completing tasks thoroughly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable interacting with clients, management, and team members at all levels.
