Located in the heart of California's Central Valley, Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is focused on innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.The Accounting Assistant will provide general support to the Accounting Manager and other personnel with the accounting department, in the form of helping with month-end activities and both accounts payable and receivable. This individual should be competent working with various computer programs including Microsoft Excel and have a background in accounting.Duties / Responsibilities:Apply accounting principles, regulations, and policies to all work dutiesData entry into spreadsheets and analysisAssist with statements reconciliations.Maintain, verify, and update numerous ledgers /software programs (Manager Plus, Agrian, AR Tracking)Help Accounts Payable with processing invoices and paymentsProvide general office support like filing and other administrative tasksHelp prove and prepare information for reports in a timely mannerChemical Inventory Daily and Monthly ItemsAssisting the Accounting Manager with any projectsOther accounting-related tasksRequired Skills / Abilities:Must be competent working with Microsoft Excel and WordMust be proficient with us in all Microsoft ProgramsMust be able to use Excel formulas and create spreadsheetsMust have strong attention to detailMust be prompt; reliable attendance is an essential function of the jobMust have numerical aptitude, including 10-key by touch.Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with little direct supervisionMust have excellent organizational and communication skillsMust have experience working with computers & spreadsheets using formulasAccounting experience is preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are a plusEducation and Experience:AA degree preferred2-5 years' experience in accounting data entryPay Offered/Benefits$25-$30 per hourPaid time off and sick leaveIndustry-leading health, dental and vision insurance and health wellness program that covers regular doctor visits, eye exams, etc. with only a minor copay.401(k) retirement with guaranteed employer matching contributionPhysical Requirements:The physical demands listed below are characteristic of those that must be met to successfully perform the functions of this position.
