Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, identifying physical therapy needs and setting measurable goals.
• Design, implement, and modify comprehensive treatment programs for various patient conditions, ensuring alignment with physicians' plans of care.
• Utilize a wide range of treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers, fostering a collaborative rehabilitation process.
• Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on post-treatment exercise and injury prevention.
• Utilize clinical documentation systems to maintain accurate treatment records and track patient progress.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance expertise in various therapeutic specialties.
• Meet designated performance and utilization goals while continually striving to improve patient care and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Deaconess, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, pediatric patients with developmental challenges, neurologic patients requiring rehabilitation, and athletes seeking recovery from sports-related injuries. Your ability to adapt treatment plans for varying age groups and health conditions will be pivotal in providing effective care.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited academic institution.
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the relevant Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• A current CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey treatment strategies and motivate patients.
• Proficient computer and word processing skills for documentation and communication.
• The ability to cultivate strong relationships with patients, encouraging them to exceed their rehabilitation goals.
• A genuine desire to connect positively with clients and the community.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of physical therapy experience is required, candidates with experience in home health care, pediatric therapy, and sports rehabilitation will be highly considered. Familiarity with evidence-based care principles and treatment modalities will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
