Supervisor, Patient Accounts

Our client, a well‑established hospital system, is seeking a Supervisor, Patient Accounts to support and oversee daily billing and third‑party collections operations within the Revenue Cycle. This is an exempt leadership role responsible for staff performance, compliance, process improvement, and financial outcomes within Patient Accounts. Job Function Oversee accurate, timely, and compliant billing and follow‑up of accounts Compile and analyze weekly productivity and quality reports; communicate trends to leadership Lead and participate in payer meetings to resolve reimbursement and billing issues Assist Manager with performance discussions, evaluations, and staff counseling Recruit, onboard, and train new team members; maintain training materials and competencies Monitor and manage performance of outside collection agencies and vendor partners Review trial balance, pre‑collection, and Medicare credit balance reports Stay current on billing, reimbursement, and regulatory changes Participate in special projects and departmental goal‑setting initiatives Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Associate’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Accounting preferred Minimum 3 years of patient accounts / hospital billing experience Strong knowledge of hospital billing, insurance reimbursement, and third‑party payers Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred Ability to analyze data, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively HBI (Healthcare Business Insights) certification required during onboarding Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
