About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for independently completing maintenance and repair work across company-managed properties while ensuring high-quality service, accurate documentation, and strong resident communication.

This role requires hands-on technical ability, problem-solving skills, and full ownership of work orders from start to finish. Maintenance Technicians help drive property performance by completing work efficiently, accurately, and with attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

• Perform general maintenance and repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, painting, and drywall
• Respond to service requests promptly, with a goal of resolution within 24 hours when possible
• Diagnose issues and complete repairs independently
• Complete unit turns (make-readies) to support timely occupancy
• Identify and communicate additional maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Ensure all work meets building codes and safety standards
• Provide professional, courteous, and solution-oriented service to residents
• Communicate clearly about work scope, timelines, and follow-up needs
• Accurately complete work orders including time, materials, notes, photos, and receipts
• Close out work orders according to company standards
• Source parts and materials needed to complete repairs
• Coordinate with vendors or contractors when necessary
• Stay responsive using work order systems, Microsoft Teams, text, and email
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance situations

What You’ll Bring

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician (residential property management preferred)
• Ability to diagnose and complete repairs across multiple trades
• Strong organization, time management, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Basic technology skills and ability to use mobile work order systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical job duties
• Must provide basic tools
• Availability for on-call rotation
• Background check required
