Lead ReceptionistThe Lead Receptionist is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility. Your role will involve greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient records. The Lead Receptionist ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supports the medical team with several administrative tasks. You will assume ownership and lead advanced and specialized administrative, operational, and customer support responsibilities that require independent initiative and judgment.The Lead Receptionist welcomes patients, offering administrative support, and assuming team lead responsibilities within a physician practice or center. This may include the following responsibilities:Greet Patients: Welcome patients and visitors both in person and over the phone.Schedule Appointments: Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to improve schedules.Patient Records: Update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.Billing and Payments: Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. May include collecting copay at time of visit.Inquiries and Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information.Office Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.Administrative Support: Assist with several administrative tasks as required. This may involve monitoring performance metrics, conducting team huddles, and taking on center administration responsibilities in the absence of the Center Administrator.Team Lead: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the receptionist team, offering training and guidance as necessary. This role may also involve traveling to support multiple centers.Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues, escalations, or complaints from patients or staff.Decisions are regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and external vendors. These decisions include coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals. Additionally, they often oversee the work of others and are the primary administrative owner of a main process or program. Work within broad guidelines.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED1+ years of medical reception experienceValue-based care model experienceKnowledge of Medical TerminologyExperience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient experiences and careExcellent customer service and phone etiquetteTeam player with a positive attitudeAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and highly organizedKnowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in leading a team/department preferredBilingual in English and SpanishAdditional Information:The company considers this role patient-facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, the company will require you to screen for TB.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM - 5PM)Location: Deland, FloridaScheduled Weekly Hours: 40Pay Range: $39,000 - $49,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
