Job Title: Mitigation/Restoration Technician (Entry-Level)

Location: Madison, MS

Role Objective

Join our rapid-response team as an Entry-Level Mitigation Technician. You will be on the front lines of disaster recovery, helping Ridgeland homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, and mold damage. This is a hands-on role perfect for recent vocational school graduates or individuals with experience in construction, HVAC, or plumbing who want to build a long-term career in a recession-proof industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Emergency Response & Assessment: Respond to on-call emergency site visits to assess property damage using moisture meters and thermal imaging.
• Mitigation Services: Perform high-volume water extraction, structural drying, and set up specialized equipment like LGR dehumidifiers and high-velocity air movers.
• Precision Demolition: Safely remove compromised building materials including drywall, flooring, and insulation using hand and power tools.
• Environmental Cleanup: Conduct mold remediation, soot decontamination, and odor removal following strict IICRC standards.
• Documentation: Use mobile software to document job progress with photos, moisture readings, and detailed field notes for insurance claims.
• Site Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times, ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. A trade school certificate (Construction, HVAC, or similar) is a major plus.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50-75 lbs independently and work in confined spaces like crawl spaces and attics.
• Reliability: Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Availability: Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including nights and weekends for emergency response.
• Certifications: IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT) are preferred.
