Skyway Precision continues to grow across its Michigan manufacturing operations and is hiring CNC Machinists to support increasing production demands.

Unlike many production environments where machinists perform only a small portion of the manufacturing process, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of setups, tooling, machine adjustments, and quality while producing precision-machined components for a diverse range of industrial applications.

This position is ideal for machinists who enjoy variety, problem-solving, and working in a shop that values skill development and internal advancement.

The Work Youll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes

Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions

Install tooling, fixtures, and workholding

Set offsets and make machine adjustments as required

Load and run CNC programs

Perform first-piece and in-process inspections

Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues

Maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality

Work closely with programmers, quality personnel, and production leadership

Support both short-run and production machining operations

Youll machine components ranging from smaller precision parts to larger industrial castings used in demanding manufacturing applications.

What Were Looking ForRequired

3+ years of CNC machining experience

Experience performing machine setups

Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or both

Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documentation

Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, and machining processes

Ability to inspect parts using precision measuring instruments

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented

Preferred

Fanuc control experience

Okuma control experience

Experience machining cast materials

Ability to make program edits at the machine

Multi-machine experience

Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills

$1,500 Sign-On Bonus (paid after 90 days)
