Valve Business Development ManagerRust Automation & Controls is seeking a dynamic Valve Business Development Manager to drive growth and strengthen customer relationships in our valve technologies sector. This role focuses on sales and technical solutions for control valves, actuators, and valve automation systems across industries such as Oil & Gas, Power, Food & Beverage, Chemical, and more.Key objectives include:Driving new business development and expanding accounts through a solutions-oriented approachIdentifying customer needs and specifying engineered valve solutions for severe service applicationsBuilding long-term customer trust through site visits and application reviewsPreparing accurate quotations and collaborating with internal teams and vendorsRepresenting Rust and our manufacturers at industry events, training sessions, and auditsValve Business Development Manager will support customers throughout the assigned territory, engaging with industrial end users, system integrators, and other key stakeholders.Key responsibilities include:Serving as the technical sales expert for control valves, actuators, and valve automation systemsLearning and maintaining working knowledge of all valve products and solutions offeredProspecting and promoting products and services within assigned accountsGrowing territory sales and gross margin through customer visits, proactive communication, and site walkdownsCollaborating with Inside Sales, Engineering, and Vendor teams to ensure timely, accurate solutionsMaintaining a robust CRM database that includes accounts, contacts, opportunities, and projectsClearly articulating customer solutions and collaborating with internal teams to execute effectivelyProven experience in technical sales or applications engineering in the valve or process automation industryWorking knowledge of control valve applications, sizing, and specificationsAbility to read P&IDs, technical drawings, and understand industrial process environmentsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindsetFamiliarity with CRM tools, quoting platforms, and vendor configuratorsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience)Self-motivated with the ability to set aggressive goals and exceed themWillingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travelStrong organizational and time-management skillsRemote role but must reside in this territoryCompensation based on education and experienceStability and security of a family-owned organizationExtensive training and professional development opportunitiesComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverageCompetitive paid time offLife insurance401(k) with company matchDo you have a pioneering spirit and enjoy working for a growing company with a strong culture?Do you thrive in a motivated, team-oriented environment focused on customer solutions?Do you enjoy solving problems and taking on challenges?Do you strive to exemplify excellence in everything you do?If you answered YES, Rust Automation & Controls would love to welcome you to our family.
